This application offers a truly unique gameplay experience combining diplomacy, tactics, fighting and thinking through a campaign describing the entire Hundred Years War, and also 20 historical content driven scenarios representing the kingdom of France at critical dates, all playable in single and multiplayer mode (six players supported). France, England, Burgundy, Navarre, Brittany, Flanders ... Choose your side ! Prepare your plans, your troops, your resources and equipment. Give your armies orders and go to fight, by rewriting the great battles of that bloody period in our history. France, England, Burgundy, Navarre, Brittany, Flanders ... At the head of one of these factions, your goal is to lead your men at the head of the kingdom by earning victory points. You earn them by conquering provinces (Anjou, Guyenne, Berry ...), besieging cities, but also by building strong castles which will protect your cities and help filling your coffers. That gold will serve to purchase new armies cards, build new fortresses, but also to send ambassadors buying a temporary peace by forging new alliances, or by tricking your enemies and drive them to fight one against the other... During the inevitable battles and fighting, you will have to manage the forces you have with wisdom or daring : Send your armies into battle, or let them defend your lands to avoid losing a hardly conquered Province. Send them on another front... but be careful not to endure too heavy losses, because whatever happens you must keep enough forces available to defend your territories. Also use your master cards wisely ! Some rare cards, such as the felon or the engineer, will help you attack enemy castles with much more efficiency. Some special cards, like the Ambassador, will permit you to recruit new heroes, but also corrupt some enemy garrisons ... Your corcheurs will plunder their lands, helping filling your own coffers and enrich your treasure ... The retirement card could allow you to save your defeated armies, while the Sign of God can reverse the outcome of a battle that got off to a bad start ... To win, you must rely on your strategic sense, attack advisedly and keep in mind that other players will not hesitate to mess your plans up. The game features many historical scenarios, very detailed, but also maps showing the positions of each faction at the various times of war (from 1337 to 1429). As a bonus, you'll also find an encyclopaedia describing 80 characters, battles and treaties of that period, and a timeline that allows you to put you into the geopolitical context of the moment, and understand the stakes of the conflict.
